DAIKIN offers two comprehensive ranges of Fluoropolymers:
NEOFLON PFA AP-Series provides excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance, and weatherability. While resembling PTFE, it can be melt-molded. The high-purity PFA-SH series has achieved significant success in semiconductor manufacturing due to low elution of fluoride ions and particles.
PFA Neoflon AP-231SH is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether, featuring a molecular structure where a perfluoroalkoxy radical is bonded to the carbon chain.
This material demonstrates better mechanical strength at high temperatures than NEOFLON FEP and offers excellent moldability for easy processing via extrusion, compression, blow, transfer, and injection molding methods. The high bonding strength of carbon, fluorine, and oxygen atoms provides outstanding capabilities similar to PTFE across temperatures ranging from -200°C to +260°C.
NEOFLON PFA features excellent transparency for melt-flow processing applications and good melt flowability, making it particularly suitable for injection molding.
