DURAFIDE 1140A4 is a polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) product containing 40% glass fiber reinforced material. This super engineering plastic is recognized for its excellent resistance to heat and chemicals.

DURAFIDE® PPS was launched by Polyplastics as Japan's first production compound, based on the supply of a PPS polymer with linear molecular structure from Kureha Corporation. It maintains superior mechanical strength, heat resistance, chemical resistance and fireproof properties while offering excellent toughness compared to traditional PPS due to its superior ability to withstand stretching and impacts.

Applications range from peripheral automotive engine parts and electrical components in hybrid and electric vehicles to smartphones and water mixing valves in baths and basins.
