DuPont™ FEP 9302 is a melt-processible copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene without additives that meets ASTM D 2116 type IV requirements. This fluoropolymer resin offers exceptional chemical resistance, heat resistance, and electrical properties.
FEP resins feature high melt strength and drawdown capacity, facilitating the use of large dies and drawdown tooling to increase production rates. Using larger length-over-diameter extruder barrels provides sufficient residence time at high production rates.
Recommended processing equipment includes reciprocating screw injection-molding machines and corrosion-resistant metals for any equipment contacting molten resin.
DuPont FEP 9302 can be processed at faster rates and higher extrusion line speeds than many FEP grades with comparable stress crack resistance performance. The combination of viscosity and stress crack resistance makes it ideal for applications involving repeated thermal and flex cycling.
