PPS Fortron 1115L0 Polyphenylene Sulfide Resin is a 15% glass reinforced UL94 V0 grade available in all colors. This high-temperature thermoplastic offers an excellent combination of thermal, mechanical, and chemical resistance properties.

Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is inherently flame resistant and virtually unaffected by a broad range of chemicals, even over prolonged periods at elevated temperatures. Available in branched (cross-linked and cured) and linear varieties, linear PPS offers easy processing, excellent lot-to-lot consistency, high strength and toughness. It features low ionic impurities and is colorable.

The Fortron PPS chemical structure provides excellent chemical and thermal resistance. Insoluble in all known solvents below 200°C (392°F), it demonstrates very good stability in both typical and alternative automotive fuels. Unfilled, high viscosity Fortron PPS is suitable for extrusion and compression molding to produce sheets, rods, and other stock shapes for prototyping.

This 15% glass-reinforced grade is the strongest and toughest product available, exhibiting excellent heat and chemical resistance, good electrical properties, and inherent flame-retardancy. The high hardness and rigidity at elevated temperatures enable good load bearing performance, while the modest filler level provides good weldability.

Applications include electrical components (bobbins, lamp housings, brush holders) and various components requiring strength and resistance to aggressive chemicals (automotive heaters, pumps, valves, fuel rails, microwave oven rings, and distillation column packings).
